"Agitate the Muslims to react" This was the mandate given to our law enforcement officers, by the United States' Anti-terrorism Assistance Program (ATA) when training started back in 2005. This later formed the bases for the creation of 'the Terrorism Interdiction Unit'.

Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) was informed that around 7pm last-night Police Officers swarmed into Crown trace and John Street in Connection drive where members of one Musallah and the nearby Masjidus Salaam was terrorized by these officers. They interrupted their prays and even made threats to several young men, to such extremes saying to one young man "We killing you tonight!". Subsequently, two(2) men were shot and injured; both from John John Laventille. The police stayed in the area for at least 2 hours. This was reminiscent of a previous Ramadhan in which the tents used for the purpose of celebrating the Eid was set on fire and destroyed by the police at the very said location.

The detention of the couple and their children in Jordan, the "Carnival Terror Plot", the arrest and detention of 19 Muslims during this years carnival celebrations, the recent claims by the police of an impending war between "Unruly ISIS" and "Rasta City", the weapons discovered at a central Masjid, the reckless statements by the Prime Minister on Wednesday night last, while addressing a People’s National Movement political meeting in Barataria, the killing of the three innocent persons in Laventille, the shooting death of Quincy Peters aka "Tractor" in front of Masjid al Falah in Arima and the release of the bio data list of "Rasta City" gang members, together with this action and behavior of the police last-night in Enterprise are all part of this mandate. Its an elaborate plan to get the Muslims to react violently, which would in-turn compromise their safety and existence.

Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) is therefore cautioning the Muslim Community not to be fazed by this but rather bear patience and exercise restraint; which is the most valuable of all traits, taught in Ramadhan. Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) is calling on all Muslims to continue in their work, attending to the needs of their respective communities, to worship Allah sincerely, to enjoin the right and forbid the wrong and Allah would vindicate us and make us powerful. Beyond doubt this is the promise of Allah the all mighty, the all knowing.

Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) further calls on the government and it's varying arms of law enforcement to observe the proper and just rule of law and proper conduct as actions and behavior contrary to this; as was previously stated, would fail and ruin all chances of delivering value to the people of Trinidad and Tobago.

The renowned Martin Luther King Jr. once said "Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity". This is the Mantra that seems to be following Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley around since Wednesday night while addressing a People’s National Movement political meeting in Barataria, where he made statements referring to raids on mosques over the Carnival period saying they were justified after “lethal weapons, arms and ammunition” were found at the Masjid-ul-Muttaqeen Mosque in Cunupia on Thursday.

Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) is holding firm by our statement in our last media release dated 7th June 2018 in which we stated "this (Discovery of five weapons and ammunition in the ceiling at the Masjid) has the signature of a false flag operation. Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) have always held the view that the Anti-Gang Bill and the Anti-Terrorism Bill are two legislation crafted to target Muslims in this country."

Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) is advocating the weapons and ammunition was placed there by law enforcement officers or a person or persons acing in collusion with law enforcement. Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) has received intelligence that the police had earlier received instructions to execute a search warrant at the very same Masjid later on that day - what a remarkable concurrence of events! - As was stated in our last release, "It is only by the mercy of Allah that those weapons were found by members of the Masjid and not a planned raid executed by the police." or else we would have been having a different conversation today.

Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) holds the view that Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley is unaware of his role and function as Prime Minister and is oblivious to what is happening within his government. If the Prime Minister is so keen on finding justification, he needs to answer:

Why was the sovereignty of our Twin Island State compromised when after the Jordanian authorities uncovered information of a plot to disrupt our carnival, why was the information was sent to the United States and not to us?

Why did United States after receiving this information did not issue a travel advisory but only did so long after our authorities made mention of it?

Why was the safety of the American citizens compromised and not warned before they traveled here to enjoy the carnival celebrations?

Were the US spy planes truly spying on our nationals or where they spying on Venezuela in response to the news of the Brazilian authorities warning Guyana of an imminent attack by Venezuela, hence the presence of Russian spy ships on our shores - Venezuela remains one of Russia's most important trading and military allies in Latin America (after Brazil).

State the true reasons why Umar Abdullah was not invited to the Diplomatic Center when he (The Prime Minister) met with the Muslim Community?

Only when Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley can provide answers to these questions, would Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) entertain his "justification" theory. If the Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley cannot provide answers to these questions then we are of the firm believe that there is a Shadow Government operating within the Government to destabilize Trinidad and Tobago into chaos and anarchy.

Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) recognizes the statements of Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley as Islamophobic, sacrilegious and contentious and is calling on the Prime Minister to apologize to the Muslim Community in like manner and if this is not done, Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) is calling on the entire Muslim Community to boycott and reject the Prime Minister's address to the Nation on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

The extrajudicial killing of Jelani Martins is not sitting well with Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front). This act of homicide by the TTPS is going to tarnish and deliver a heavy blow to an already ugly image and will further degrade the public perception of the entire Service. The TTPS has clearly shown its inability to act positively and appropriately to curb the exploding crime rate and the inherent social and economic challenges. The TTPS seems to be evolving into a plague with a purpose to destroy the poor family structure which is the basic building block of society.

From the information received, we are of the firm belief that Officer Khan and his men should be investigated for the homicide of Jelani Martins and the unaccounted $21,500 which he had on his person. Sheldon the car dealer was taken into custody. A story we understand is now being concocted to say Jelani went to Rob Sheldon and Sheldon shot him.

We are calling on the Acting Commissioner of Police to launch an independent investigation into the killing of Jelani Martins and to immediately suspend the officers involved. We have already contacted the head of the PCA; David West who is awaiting an official complaint on Monday. Witnesses and video footage would be made available.

Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) would not stand idly by in the face of an act which is bound to erode public trust in our security forces. This approach to battling the challenges of crime and corruption in our nation must be reviewed. Those responsible for this behaviour must be brought to account and pay a heavy price.
