Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) Condemns in the strongest terms the terrorist attack, in which Forty-nine people were killed and 20 plus others wounded, at two Masjids in Christchurch, New Zealand. The attack, which came around the time Muslims were attending the Masjid for Friday prayers, was the deadliest in New Zealand's history.

Our heartfelt condolences and prayers are with the victims of this horrific terrorist attack that onfolded in Christchurch, New Zealand. Brenton Tarrant, a 28-year-old  Australian who perpetrated these terror attacks, described himself as an “ordinary white man” who was inspired by Norway mass killer Anders Behring Breivik. He Is not a Christian as some mainstream media puts it. His choice of music during his drive to commit this massacre entitled "Remove Kebab" was a propaganda music video made by Serb Army Soldiers as a tribute to war criminal Radovan Karadzic; the Bosnian Serb responsible for genocide against Muslims in Sarajavo 1995.

It's no doubt a dark and painfull day for Muslims and humidity at large. Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front), first and foremost is calling on all communities, politicians, media outlets and commentators to call this out for what it is. This is a terrorist attack on innocent and defenseless Muslims in their own Masjid which serves as the heart of the community. This is white supremacy, this is a right-wing extremist hate, this is racism.

To make matters worst it is sickening to see even in this time of mourning many senseless individuals have taken to their keyboards to further foster hatred against the Muslim community. Why is mainstream media calling this a Christian terrorist attack? Is it an intent to spew hate and disgust amongst Muslims and Christians? Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) is calling on all Muslims to reject this and show love and compassion to all our Christians brothers and sisters.

It's about time to take a stance against extremism and drive it out of all communities. Therefore Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) is urging the government to apply the same resolve and dedication it showed in "addressing extreme radical islam" in condemning this attack, in like manner, our Attorney General, Faris al Rawi condemned the Manhattan Attack in October of 2017.

Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) is calling on the Commissioner of Police; Gary Griffith to consider the call of all Muslims to be safe in their places of worship and to not rule out the the possiblity of "copy cats" in carrying out similar attacks here in Trinidad and Tobago, especially against the backdrop of an already out of control "war" between the so called "Rasta City and Muslim City". Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) is requesting that Gary Griffith dispatch at least two police officers in marked police vehicles; today, Friday at Masjids across the country for the Jumuah Prayers, especially the Masjids that are heavily populated in order to give a sense of security and protection.

Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) is reminding Muslims to remain vigilant and alert at all times. Islamophobia is real and hate-filled individuals such as the one we saw in this attack do exist. Allah mentions in the Qur'an; 3:118 "...Enmity has been revealed from their speech, and what they hide in their breasts is greater..."

Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) is also cautioning the sharing of the video depicting this horrific terrorist attack. It was videotaped with a background theme song with an intended purpose. Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) is asking everyone to desist from sharing this video as it signals the threat of right wing violent extremism. Do not play into the hands of these murderous individuals by circulating their propaganda. It will only serve to empower the Islamophobic sentiments already ablazed in the Western World.

It is perhaps time Masajids start investing in security and protection to ensure that they are well guarded and protected from such Acts. Lastly Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front)  would like to remind all Muslims who are still struggling to comprehend the Madness of this attack, to stay strong, as hard as it is to bear the calamity of what took place. Always remember that Allah the Almighty is with us. As difficult this situation is Allah is always with us. Remember that these people died on a Friday in a Masjid; in the most beloved place of Allah the Almighty. We ask Allah the Almighty to accept all the victims as maytrs, spear them from the trials of the grave and grant them a swift entry into paradise. May Allah grant us peace in this world and restore sanity to our communities.

Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) is having serious issues with the timing and sentiments expressed in media release dated 31st October 2017, by the AG in responding to what is being dubbed as the terrorist attack in Manhattan during similar and even more gruesome and heartless attacks on innocent Civilians by the rogue nations like America, Israel, Britain, Russia and Myanmar (Burma) to name a few. Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) does not condone nor encourage any such action on civilians. This dreadful and senseless attack in Manhattan on the innocents deserves nothing less than the strongest condemnation and the stiffest of penalties but that does not absolve the right of any individual more so a government Minister or Ministers from recognizing other such tragedies like those dastardly and cowardly act perpetrated on civilians by the very governments that cry out in the face of such evil. The Muslim community of Trinidad and Tobago and the Attorney General Faris Al-Rawi came from the same household and even though we have all followed different paths our father Ibrahim (AS) taught us and inspired us to stand by what we believe is right. Not only did he question the illogical practices of his fellowmen, knowing that his was the voice of reason, he actively made attempts to guide his people towards the right path. And above all, when he was met with hatred and rejection by the people, he never lost confidence in the truth. Prophet Ibrahim (AS) had confidence and faith. He knew his beliefs were backed by reason, and so he had nothing to fear. This is the legacy of our father and this is the legacy we were bound to follow.

Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) is questioning why since assuming office in 2015 our brother; the Attorney General Faris Al-Rawi never condemned those attacks on innocent’s civilians perpetrated by those nations, named? From 2015 to October 2017, 35,084 civilians a quarter of which are women and children, have been killed in Syria. Of the civilians killed in 2016 alone, 2,574 were children under the age of 18 and a further 1,944 were women. Presently; 2017 Death Count stands at 7,203. The United States has killed nearly 30 Muslims for every American lost.

Where is the press release condemning the ethnic cleansing in Myanmar where killings, torture, rape and arson is being reported daily?

Where is the press release condemning the US airstrikes on the Syrian village of Manbij 19th July 2016, killing 117 including 35 children and 20 women.

Where is the press release condemning the 4 million innocent civilians the United States and their allies have killed during their so called “War on Terror?

Where is the press release condemning the air strikes on five medical buildings and two schools in Aleppo and Idlib 15th February 2016?

Where is the press release condemning Israel’s aggression and illegal occupation and the blatant disregard of the many UN resolutions and America’s support of it?

Mainstream media has also failed to acknowledge that the Islamic State groups' alleged attacks like the one in Manhattan could ultimately be blamed on Washington, because the extremist group was created by them, according to a recent Global Research study.

“Much like al-Qaida, the Islamic State is made-in-the-USA, an instrument of terror designed to divide and conquer the oil-rich Middle East and to counter Iran’s growing influence in the region,” the Center for Research on Globalization wrote.

They continued, “Just like many U.S. interventions into the sovereignty of other countries, Washington's foreign policy in the Middle East has backfired.”

They went on to write that, “the fact that the United States has a long and torrid history of backing terrorist groups will surprise only those who watch the news and ignore history.”

A prominent English journalist put it quite simply. “If the United States wants to improve its image in the Islamic world,” he said, “it should stop killing Muslims.”

Considering all this Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) is calling their brother; the Attorney General Faris Al-Rawi and the government to condemn all such attacks, especially if perpetrated by the nation that boast of being the flag bearer of democracy. Do this and you would not appear to be unjust and hypocritical.

American Muslims Should Speak Out Against Terrorist Attacks?

In The Name of Allah Most Gracious Most Merciful.

Forty-eight percent (48%) of Americans nationwide believe that it is the responsibility of American Muslims to speak out against terrorist attacks on the United States. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 27% do not think American Muslims have that responsibility. Twenty-six percent (26%) of adults are not sure.


This is the message we and the Muslims in America (We should not say American Muslims) aught to be giving the disbelievers:


“We shall cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve, because they joined others in worship with Allâh, for which He had sent no authority; their abode will be the Fire and how evil is the abode of the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong doers).” [Quran: 003:151]


“(Remember) when your Lord revealed to the angels, "Verily, I am with you, so keep firm those who have believed. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who have disbelieved, so strike them over the necks, and smite over all their fingers and toes." [Quran: 008:012]


Narrated By Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, "I have been sent with the shortest expressions bearing the widest meanings, and I have been made victorious with TERROR (cast in the hearts of the enemy), and while I was sleeping, the keys of the treasures of the world were brought to me and put in my hand." Abu Huraira added: Allah's Apostle has left the world and now you, people, are bringing out those treasures (i.e. the Prophet did not benefit by them). [Vol 4, Book 52, Hadith 220. (Shahi Bukhari)]

Ali ® once said: “I am the one whose mother named him Haidar, (And am) like a lion of the forest with a TERROR-striking countenance. I give my opponents the measure of sandara in exchange for sa” (i.e. return the attack with one that is much more fierce). [Book 19, Hadith 4450. (Shahi Muslim)]


Abu Huraira reported that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: I have been given superiority over the other prophets in six respects: I have been given words which are concise but comprehensive in meaning; I have been helped by TERROR (in the hearts of enemies): spoils have been made lawful to me: the earth has been made for me clean and a place of worship; I have been sent to all mankind and the line of prophets is closed with me. [Book 4. Prayer, Hadith 1062. (Shahi Muslim)]

Yahya related to me from Malik from Yahya ibn Said that he had heard that Abdullah ibn Abbas said, "Stealing from the spoils does not appear in a people but that TERROR is cast into their hearts. Fornication does not spread in a people but that there is much death among them. A people do not lessen the measure and weight but that provision is cut off from them. A people do not judge without right but that blood spreads among them. A people do not betray the pledge but that Allah gives their enemies power over them."
