Re:19 South American Girls Freed From a  Drug and Prostitution Ring and Government's Reluctance to Deal With Our Own About to Face the Very Same Fate in Syria and Iraq.

Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) applaus the efforts and the stance this administration's National Security Minister; Mr. Stuart Richard Young and it's foreign Ministry, has taken in relation to the 19 South American girls freed from a drug and prostitution ring, uncovered by the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service.  “They will be treated with humanity,” Young assured.

And as much as we commend these initiatives, we are very much concerned and is paying close attention to the plight of our own Nationals imprisoned in Syria and Iraq; facing the very Fate.

Abdul Hamid al-Muhabash who is co-chair of Democratic Autonomous Administration, based in north-eastern Syria, has called on respective governments to repatriate their nationals from war-torn areas of Syria and Iraq.

Muhabash said, “The administration and the Syrian people demand of the states from which ISIS fighters belong – more than 50 nationalities in all – to judge them according to their constitutions.”

These Kurdish forces are Shia Muslims and maintains a very close relationship with Iran. There have been rumors circulating that those held in prisons and camps across Syria and Iraq would be sold as slaves to Iran because of the inability to continue caring and providing for them. May God Almighty forbids this from happening as these persons will disappear forever never to found again.

Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) is calling on this administration's relevant authorities to address this matter with a greater sense urgency than what is being afforded to these 19 South American women, being just the fact that these are our own citizens. The Government does have a responsibility first to our citizens and then to others.

Re: Behaviour of Our State Agencies

Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) is calling on the government of Trinidad and Tobago to put a leash on its agencies and their members when it comes to treating with the issues of its people, especially when matters are of a sensitive nature.

Just yesterday Police Officers of the Besson Street Police Station raided and desecrated Masjid ul Furqaan of John-John Lavantille and the Imam; Atiba Seargant (Abdul Haqq) was arrested and charged in what appears to be a case of religious persecution and sacrilegious. Recently he was detained and questioned at length regarding what measures he has taken to curb crime in his community. (See Photos Attached of Masjid After Police Left)

Just a couple days ago January 11^th Police armed with guns and wearing bulletproof vests barged into the office of Sacha Singh; managing director of Amsure Trinidad and Tobago Ltd and demanded money by menace; treating to arrest if the worker did not comply. Since when can the TTPS assume the role of the Labour Board and a Magistrate or Judge?

The 182 names which are now under the radar who according to the FIU have engaged in suspicious transactions and are funding terrorism abroad and as a result of which Inshan Ishmael is now been investigated for raising funds for the same purpose.

The interfering of religious laws by increasing the marital age to 18 years. I must warn if this legislation is passed in the upper and lower house and made law there is going to be a negative spiral effect.

The refusal to allow the re-entry of our eight nationals mostly woman and children who have been detained in Turkey since the end of last year even though it has been expressed by the Turkish government their willingness to repatriate our citizens.

Must I remind this government we are a democracy and not a dictating police state. People have rights and privileges in this country as enshrined in our Constitution. The only reason why people don’t fight back is because they are poor and have no money to pay the exorbitant fees some lawyers charge. If the government and its state agencies continue to function with this megalomaniac type behaviour our democracy would pay a heavy price.

Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) continues to observe, with great concern - the response of the State following the return of five T&T citizens, who were previously detained in Venezuela for 32 months. We are calling on the AG Police Commissioner; Stephen Williams and the Police Service's Professional Standards Bureau to investigate and Call to account the behaviour, actions and decision of all the officers who detained without due process and questioned our returning nationals from Venezuela.

The public has a right to know that after billions of dollars have been pumped into the National Security apparatus over the past 15 years, there was not an iota of a coherent response from the authorities, with respect to any formal interrogation or informal debrief exercise. Instead, a number of named police officers sought to intimidate the returning citizens, by asking irrelevant, prejudicial, ignorant and un-researched questions about Islam in general and Jihad in particular. This was demeaning and is being viewed as religious discrimination. 

This lack of respect having no regards for value and honesty would not be tolerated by the Muslim community and by extension the citizens of this twin island state. The police service showed no compassion and had no empathy to the plight of the families and love-ones who after being drained of their wealth and striped of their rights and self-worth were made to wait and suffer for hours on end to be reunited with their love-ones.

It is indeed laughable that after all this time, law enforcement is unable to carry out a simple fact-finding interview and/or psychological assessment of a civilian. This is not what 21st century policing is all about; its part of a backward decadent mentality that holds the recipe for failure.

With respect to the matter involving Wade Charles. Why were not the family informed of his situation beforehand? Why were they attempting to take him away secretly to San Fernando? This obviously brings into question the public trust and faith in the police service. The police by their actions eroded our confidence placed in them. We are prepared not to let this matter rest until an apology is given and the proper mechanisms are put in place to address the needs and the plight of our returning nationals.

Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) strongly condemns the assassination of Senior Counsel Dana Seetahal. This act not only speaks to the gross incompetence of our protective services but also more importantly to the lack of political will by this PP administration to address the disintegration of the social and moral fabric our society.

We want to caution the police in their investigation of this murder and to warn them against chasing red herrings. We are very much concerned that they are pursuing innocent individuals and would subsequently arrest innocent persons for that murder as they have done in the past. 

The information which they claim to have on the Carapo man is faulty and misleading.

Are these the same police who could not have detected a dead child in a barrel after spending 7 hours in the same  room where the said barrel was? Are these the same police who after a conviction of five persons in the 700 million drug fine on Monos Island still can't tell us who owned the drugs? What about the murder of Ramishchand's daughter? What about Akeel Chambers? What about the eight year old found murdered in the drain; where an innocent police officer was held and won his case? The real murderer still walks free!  At the time the Prime Minister vowed the murderer will be held and brought to justice. What about the drugs in the container of chicken? And just in recent times the coke in juice cans? The Debideen murder in Grand Bazaar? The examples are too numerous to contemplate.

Are these the same police who are telling us today that they have a suspect? Informing us that someone in prison called the shot? Well tell us too what was the motivate; informing us that calls were intercepted; well then you did know the SC's life was threatened; why didn't you protect her.

If the police and this government do not want a scandal on their hands they better know what they doing; I have already passed on certain information to the authorities; the ball is in their court.
