Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) in referencing its media release dated 21st October, 2019, is renewing its call for the Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley to shut the doors of state owned TV station; TTT Limited, if it is the minister of communications under the directive of the Prime Minister, fails to investigate if there are any labour breaches at state owned company, TTT LIMITED.

Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) is calling on TTT LIMITED to account to every deserving tax paying citizen of this country, simply because they are the true owners of this company and they deserve the right to know how their money was spent and is being spent. They deserve the right to be informed of any managerial issues, especially when it comes to the treatment of our countrymen who are the employees of this company.

Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) has in the past called on other state agencies to account for their failed policies, mismanagement and corrupt practices. We demand that steps be taken to remedy this symptom of failure on the part of this present administration, before its too late, at which time, we'll be forced to accept another loss; a drain on our talents, money and resources.

Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) is calling on the Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley to shut the doors of state owned TV station; TTT Limited. Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) understands apart from the company operating at a loss, it is compounded by the fact, TTT Limited, is in breach of all labour laws in this country, as they don't pay overtime to workers, rather they utilise the "Compensatory Time Off System" (CTO). This bugs the question; why the move to implement such a draconian policy to employees already experiencing late salary payments, since 2018.

Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) is calling on the Minister of Communications Senator, Donna Cox to clarify this information and state to the country, if TTT is breaking Labour Laws, and show proof to the citizens of this country, that this isn't so. Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) is also concerned about a "clique" at the state owned media house who seems to be acting as Judge and Jury. This "clique" of Managers some of whom have no background in media and the creative Industry are also the ones championing draconian policies in the company, much to the distress of workers. Can the Communications minister also clarify this? And by extension the honorable Prime Minister? 

Responding to a letter written by Indera Sagewan, published in the Guardian on Monday, August 28, 2017 under the headline: ‘Another debacle: CNMG to TTT’. The then Minister of Public Administration and Communications; Honourable Maxie Cuffie, Member of Parliament for La Horquetta/Talparo, said "... is not simply a cosmetic name change... the closure of CNMG goes beyond re-branding and restructuring..."

The then Communications Minister Stuart Young in an article written by Camille Hunte published in the Express Newspaper July 6th 2018, said “I will fight hard to make sure jobs are maintained and let us turn this around.”

Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) reminds the country that this state enterprise is one which was used as the source of corruption in 2015 which saw huge and exorbitant salaries being paid to former managers of the TV Station. This is the same TTT who has a perrenial problem of changing managers every so often, and a failure to increase viewers or attract viable, sustainable sales to generate revenue. It is clear, by these revelation, TTT, described on its Website as an" "Enterprise providing broadcast, production and transmission services for audiences within Trinidad and Tobago and beyond." has strayed from it's mandate. 

Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) in an attempt to address these issues sent messages and made numerous calls to the line Minister, Senator the Honourable Donna Cox, to no avail. Imagine that! The Communications Minister, does not know how to communicate. We are therefore calling on the  the Prime Minister, Dr. The Honourable Keith Christopher Rowley to shut down the and liquidate this "debacle" according to, Indera Sagewan-Alli in 2017.

This is an article in the 2019 March issue of the National Geographic Magazine. Notice there were no mention of our Trinidad and Tobago Carnival. So the $628 million dollars spent over the past 4 years; which just came shy of our budget allocation for Agriculture this year, did nothing to show case our "art and culture" on the world stage. What then were government and it's agencies promoting? It's clear our drunken, lascivious and reckless behavior Superceded our "Talented Festival". Off course this is of no surprise, when one takes into consideration governments million dollar pay out for a song that has no meaning and no substance... Governments support and promotion for a meaningless presentation of what many criticize as being worthless would certainly go a long way to embarrass us as a Caribbean Island under the Sun...

Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) laments the reckless spending and wasteful employment of our resources by government and it's agencies and the their inability to preserve and showcase our heritage. Instead what we see being promoted is a display of drunkenness, violence and vulgarity. Government needs to come full circle and access this deficiency in it's role and function and correct it now before it gets even worst.

Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) will like to express its shock and horror at the present administration in purposely not filing the necessary documents to return to Trinidad, some of its Nationals unjustly incarcerated or detained in Iraq for their participation and involvement in the Islamic state or ISIS, whether as a fighter or otherwise.

Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) understands that at least 3 of these Trinidadian nationals; women have been given 20-year sentences, but can have their plight overturned should this Government file documents either through the British and South African consulate for their return to their homeland.

The question must be asked how has it, that other countries followed the necessary diplomatic processes to have their nationals return to them? Yet This government has not, despite this information being privy to them since 2017? Is it that this government has deliberately chosen to ignore the pleas of their own citizens? Especially women? Or is it that this government has deliberately decided to turn a blind eye to this situation on the basis it is Muslims?

Can the relevant persons whereby the Attorney General Faris Al Rawi who have boasted of having lineage to Prophet Muhammad (May the Peace and Blessings of Allah be with him) and can be seen growing a full beard as that of a Muslim, answer these questions? Can the Attorney General and the Minister of National security Edmund Dillion come clean on this issue?

In essence, what’s the government’s decision now seeing that this information is now public? How do they intend to treat with the issue? If they can at all? And why have the cries of these Muslims fallen on deaf ears? Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) hopes the government can answer these pertinent questions and free our Muslim men and women from oppression and captivity.

In conclusion Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) is urging this administration to recognize that we are in the Holy Month of Ramadhan and acting fairly with a national sense of responsibility by way of administering Justice and having compassion towards it citizens would be viewed as an act of goodness by God Almighty and any act of goodness in this auspicious month would be rewarded immensely.

Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) is very much alarmed by the rate at which crime has spiraled in this country and taken on a new face, this as the attacks and murder of key personalities; entertainers, media personnel and religious leaders makes the headlines in our news. When personalities like these are attacked and murdered in some cases it points to not only a state of lawlessness but also a state of disrespect and a state that has no regard for life.

The Recent despicable attack on Father Clyde Harvey, the attacks on the Guardian and Express reporters by officers attached to our protective arm, whose main purpose is to protect and serve with pride, the senseless attack on our brother "Skippy" and that despicable act of cowardice against Nikki Crosby and the sacrilegious murder of Pundit Sunil Ragbirsingh has casted a dark cloud over this Nation's Flag predicting a shameful annihilation.

Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) is Calling on the government and its agency responsible for crime and policing to tranquilize this beast that has been devouring this country from within. Building more police station and putting more boots on the ground is not going to do it but would Infuriate it even more. The first step in stopping this beast is to weed out the corruption and the rogue faces from within the government and the TTPS.

We are calling on the NGO’s, FBO’s and corporate Trinidad and Tobago to step-up where government has failed and to make good on your existence by fulfilling your true purpose.

Government's policy towards the poor black people in this country must change. The Government needs to listen and deliver on a silver platter "hope" to the people of this country, they need to work closely with and empower the FBO’s, NGO’s and corporate TnT. It's the only way they'll be able to start the conversation and end with implementation.

Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) is Calling on the perpetrators of these crimes to stop and be cognizant of your actions as this will eventually destroy you and your future generation; the old is burying the young. There are those who has their eyes fixed on that real-estate on which you stand. They see you as a hindrance in their way of profit and control, and as financiers to the government; whom do you think will have the final say? You need to empower yourselves and create opportunities to become conglomerates in your own communities so that no one would be able to take from you, your right to live and enjoy your space. 255 Murders in 182 days. As these numbers show and with the Increase in crime and public uneasiness, crime, in all its different forms has become a major threat to societal and individual security. There has been less discussion on the role and response of national security mechanisms. Hence, most of the methods used to fight against crime have backfired and fall short of meeting such a challenge. The failure of the Western methods of combating crime and the Increase in impunity of criminals leads one to suggest a solution, which treats criminal activity not piecemeal but in the total scheme of life. 

The Islamic concept of security is a very comprehensive one, more comprehensive than any of the other existing systems. It looks at humankind in relation to the universe and the factors influencing it. It encompasses physical, mental, psychological and spiritual domains as integral parts of an overall societal security system.

Islamic teachings do not merely provide solutions to exceptional instances of criminal behavior, but emphatically focus on measures that halt their existence. In other words, Islam executes as many means as possible to avert temptation. While modern societies flaunt temptation – liquor, pornography, violence, etc. – before the people, a true Islamic society removes the sources of these temptations, and when the need for correction emerges, the punishment is serious and effective. If crimes are not countered with serious punishments, then our society will be in grave danger.

Crime has prospered in modern societies because a completely contradictory approach is followed to controlling it.

Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) is therefore calling the government to stamp out all forms of temptation that are prevalent and easily accessible and when the time comes for correction or punishment of a crime, the justice system should not be lenient and should be serious. Sentencing should not be biased and protective of the criminal's rights over those of the victim.

Government must take into consideration the changing circumstances of our society as well as the constancy and permanence of the nature of our countrymen.

Waajihatul Islamiyyah (The Islamic Front) is prepared to seek legal injunctions aimed at achieving human welfare, which can all be referred back to universal principles which are necessary for the well-being and security of our citizens. These universal principles are:

1.    The preservation of life.
2.    The preservation of religion.
3.    The preservation of reason.
4.    The preservation of lineage.
5.    The preservation of property.

Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) is working with an objective that would seek to protect our society from the dangers of crime by advocating fairness, equality and justice, also prison and prisoner reform. However, we must bear in mind, the punishment is a recompense for the crime.  It is undesirable to treat a criminal lightly who threatens the security of society with danger.

Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) is standing firm in its belief that the government of Trinidad and Tobago is interfering in our religious laws, our religious beliefs and our religious rights and freedoms.

We have been paying very close attention to the reckless and irresponsible behavior of this administration in its haste to pass the marriage bill both in the Upper and Lower House. The AG, by adopting this position, has caused citizens to question the role of the parliament in protecting the nation from the onslaught of reprehensible behavior by our parliamentarians.

What's next on the table? Our religious festivals? Our ceremonies? Our religious attire? The hijab?  I am again warning of the consequences if this bill is passed in the Lower House and assented to by our President.

The President's authority is under scrutiny, via the ongoing investigation ìnto allegations of misbehavior in public office by way of his lavish and reckless spending. I am again warning that this can be seen as a trend by this adminstration to circumvent religion in this country and by extension the Western hemisphere.

We have already witnessed an example of this when the terrorism bill was again tabled in Parliament. This is exactly the type of action and measures taken by any state that would feed into the rhetoric of the outgoing US Ambassador John Estrada when he said and warned that a terrorist attack can happen in Trinidad and Tobago at any time.

Furthermore, we can very well witness a negative spiral of social issues as a result of this. Haven't we learnt the lessons from China's One Child policy and its negative fallout.

My closing statement to this government and its AG in particular: "You are standing on holy ground."

Waajihatul Islaamiyyah (The Islamic Front) is calling on the government of Trinidad and Tobago to put a leash on its agencies and their members when it comes to treating with the issues of its people, especially when matters are of a sensitive nature.

Just yesterday Police Officers of the Besson Street Police Station raided and desecrated Masjid ul Furqaan of John-John Lavantille and the Imam; Atiba Seargant (Abdul Haqq) was arrested and charged in what appears to be a case of religious persecution and sacrilegious. Recently he was detained and questioned at length regarding what measures he has taken to curb crime in his community. (See Photos Attached of Masjid After Police Left)

Just a couple days ago January 11^th Police armed with guns and wearing bulletproof vests barged into the office of Sacha Singh; managing director of Amsure Trinidad and Tobago Ltd and demanded money by menace; treating to arrest if the worker did not comply. Since when can the TTPS assume the role of the Labour Board and a Magistrate or Judge?

The 182 names which are now under the radar who according to the FIU have engaged in suspicious transactions and are funding terrorism abroad and as a result of which Inshan Ishmael is now been investigated for raising funds for the same purpose.

The interfering of religious laws by increasing the marital age to 18 years. I must warn if this legislation is passed in the upper and lower house and made law there is going to be a negative spiral effect.

The refusal to allow the re-entry of our eight nationals mostly woman and children who have been detained in Turkey since the end of last year even though it has been expressed by the Turkish government their willingness to repatriate our citizens.

Must I remind this government we are a democracy and not a dictating police state. People have rights and privileges in this country as enshrined in our Constitution. The only reason why people don’t fight back is because they are poor and have no money to pay the exorbitant fees some lawyers charge. If the government and its state agencies continue to function with this megalomaniac type behaviour our democracy would pay a heavy price.

The blood of six-year-old Keyanna Cumberbatch and one-year-old Jacob Monroe is on the hands of this government.

State agencies have failed and continue to fail with their intervention programmes and as such lead to the decay of these two beautiful gems (Islands) of the Caribbean.

These children did not die today; they died the day government refused to recognize the red flag when they saw it...
